Talks on seat-sharing with SP in UP, in progress: Rahul

AICC general secretary and Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi said on Friday that talks on seat-sharing with Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are in progress.
"It is in progress. Let's see what happens next," Gandhi said on Friday answering queries on the status of the seat-sharing.
Asked whether the bargaining power of Congress has increased after its victory in three out of five states, which went to polls recently, the MP said, "No comment."
On UP Chief Minister Mayawati's denial of allegations levelled by Congress pertaining to law and order situation in the state, the AICC General Secretary said reporters, "You should ask her, why she does so."
Asked about the role of youth in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi said, "As I am the General Secretary of the Youth Congress and the National Student Union of India, my message to them is, we should run the organisation democratically.
"I think, by electing the President of Uttarakhand's Youth Congress in a democratic process for the first time yesterday we have taken a very big step in this regard and poll for the same post in Punjab will be held on 23rd December," he said.
On the Talent Search Scheme, the MP said, "It is running fine along with the concept of election and we are hoping to take it to greater heights." (NZ-19/12)
